The bespoke audio engine invented for Ekwe allows for easy MIDI editing as well as touch screen interaction, making Ekwe both a compositional tool and a playable instrument. No tool for original composition would be complete without the ability to record external voice and acoustic instruments, which in Ekwe can be added directly to the compositional canvas alongside MIDI instruments and sample loops.

Our current musical landscape is global.

Ekwe contains samples recorded by 60 master musicians and encompasses a wide range of instruments, from ancient to contemporary. Users are able to experience and create with instruments from around the world, often that they never knew existed but have heard many times in popular music.
