Sebastian Krys has produced two new releases in spatial audio that “can be experienced on any set of headphones”, according to record label Rebeleon.

The releases involve a “game-changing” spatial audio format developed by Immersion Networks, a Washington-based audio technology company. According to a statement, the format “requires no extra hardware” to experience – just a pair of regular headphones.

The Krys-produced releases include an EP by Columbian music duo Vale, as well as a single titled USA by Latin pop artist Inti Y Vicente. Both are available to stream on most major platforms.

Krys, a five-time Grammy and 12-time Latin Grammy winner, hailed the accessible new spatial audio format as “the greatest development in audio since the dawn of stereo”.

“Immersion’s audio improves the listening experience for everyone, not just people with the means to buy expensive equipment,” he said in a statement.

Immersion Networks’ founder Paul Hubert, added: “We are honoured to work with Sebastian and the team at Rebeleon on our mission to bring the future of audio to everyone, everywhere, without forcing you to buy new hardware or change your listening habits.”
